"Very well-made action RPG. Does everything well. Good story, balanced gameplay, good voice acting, graphics, etc."

"Every other review will tell you this game is vastly superior to the first one. Not this one. While the game was longer and more technically complex than the first one, I did not find it better. I found the story to be inferior, the slew of new characters unimpressive, and the controls slightly glitchier during platforming. There is considerably more platforming to do in this one. There are more "puzzles" to solve, but the answers are all provided in Drake's notebook! Until the final couple of chapters, all of the enemies are boring clones with only 3 variations. The final two types of enemies are quite difficult, although there is a trick to easily beat the first kind. With one or two exceptions, all of the weapons are identical to the weapons from the first game, and almost all of the trophies are exact copies, too! Treasure collecting is more difficult in this game, especially after the first few chapters. The original game had 61 treasures to find, this one has 101. All of the character models except Drake still lack the same level of detail that he has. This game has multiplayer mode (not for the story), but I did not try it. Despite all of these complaints, I still enjoyed the game, but not as much as Drake's Fortune."

"Really well made, but quite difficult. I got stuck at a boss battle around 10 hours in and wasn't able to get any further. No other RE game stopped me, so I'd say this one is significantly more difficult."

"I guess the GT games are the best racing games available for Playstation consoles, but I found this game to be inferior to Xbox's Forza series."

"A continuation of the story from the previous entry, Rise of the Tomb Raider, but set in sunnier less depressing locales (Mexico and Peru). This entry focuses more on Lara's trying to figure out who she was, who she is, and who she wants to become. While on her own mission to stop Trinity from doing something nefarious, Lara takes time out to help a couple of indigenous Peruvian villages with their own struggles. Gameplay is largely the same as the previous game. Exploring, platforming, locating tombs, solving their puzzles, escaping with treasures, weapon and outfit crafting, skill upgrading, all while being a one-woman Trinity extinction force. I found nothing particularly bad about the game, but nothing spectacular either."

"Very well-made retro-styled platformer. Very difficult. Cool story."

"Really beautiful action-puzzle game with a side of philosophy thrown in. When I first tried this game when it came out back in 2014/15, I wasn't that into it. Picked it up again in 2022 and this time I couldn't stop playing. I actually put in the effort to finish it with 100% completion. It was worth it. Aside from about 100 puzzles, there are tons, and I mean tons of hidden secrets and Easter eggs. There are also 3 different endings. I definitely recommend doing them all. One of them is way, way more difficult than the others but the payoff is worth it."

"Gameplay is OK. Art style is nice but very repetitive. Same locales and enemies over and over again. Local multiplayer up to 4 players is nice."

"I love everything Remedy has ever made. This game, while definitely good, did not enthrall me to the level of previous games like Quantum Break, Alan Wake and Max Payne 2. I'll say one thing for this game: it is vast. There is a lot more to it than originally meets the eye. Lots and lots of secrets. If you just play according to what you're told to do, you'll miss out on a lot. The game is also brutally difficult towards the end."

"Overall presentation is decent but controls felt really poor. After a couple of levels, I didn't want to play anymore."

"Played the PS3 remastered version. Decent story, decent upgraded graphics. Controls are a little clunky compared to the newer games. I liked the puzzles. This outing has way more boss fights than any other TR game I've played. Not very long."

"The graphics and gameplay in this title are quite good. The story isn't bad but they could have put more effort into finishing off the story, especially with regards to the supporting characters, after the final fight. All-in-all, probably my favorite Tomb Raider game. And to this day, in 2020, it remains the final Tomb Raider story, chronologically-speaking, since the three games released after this one are all prequels. Will Lara ever have another adventure after this one or has she retired? LOL."

"If you are fan of traditional COD games, you probably won't like this one. On the other hand, if you find most COD games boring and unmemorable, you may like this one. I like it a lot. The single player campaign is fairly short at about 10 hours but is well-written, well-acted and features a variety of mission types which include ground assaults, space dogfighting, ship assaults, station assaults and even gunfights in space. There isn't that much variance between similar types of missions, but the story, high attention to detail and different weapon types keep the game interesting. The game consists of main story missions and optional side missions. I recommend doing all of the side missions as they present themselves. The Zombie game can be played solo, local co-op or network co-op. There is of course also standard local and network multiplayer."

"The single player story is about 18-20 hours long. Pretty much follows the same formula as the last game. Run around the world finding clues and chasing down a mythical treasure all while avoiding a former partner and his hired mercenary army. This time the story revolves around pirates and along with buddy Sully popping up once in a while, your partners in crime are your long lost brother and your wife. Lots of exploring and platforming, some ridiculously simple puzzle solving and occasional gun battles. The story borders on soap opera territory. The soundtrack is orders of magnitude inferior to previous outings. This franchise isn't what it once was, especially since original writer and producer Amy Hennig left. Still, it is somewhat fun and definitely pretty."
