Review of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
"I've had this in my to do list since god was a lad. I got round to playing this the other day, the campaign's probably around 6 or 7 hours, a lot of people wouldn't find this acceptable but when they'd find out just how repetitive and boring the puzzles are they may change their mind. The combat is good but also very repetitive, luckily it's not that often that any action happens in the game so you don't really have a chance to get bored of it. The story however is the back bone of the game, it's different, it's immersive, it has you panicking when you know there's nothing to panic about. It also (apparently) has a system where if you die too many times you have to restart the game, for a game that "understands" mental health that doesn't seem the most pleasant thing for me to comprehend. I enjoyed the story in this game but the gameplay didn't really do the game any favours, I'd recommend picking it up if you want a heavy based story game and don't mind doing the same things for a few hours."
