Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave, but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as The Project at Eden’s Gate that is threatening the community's freedom. Stand up to the cult’s leader, Joseph Seed and the Heralds, and spark the fires of resistance that will liberate the besieged community. In this expansive world, your limits and creativity will be tested against the biggest and most ruthless baddest enemy Far Cry has ever seen. It’ll be wild and it’ll get weird, but as long as you keep your wits about you, the residents of Hope County can rest assured knowing you’re their beacon of hope.

"Before beating it... I’m not too far into the game, but I have to say that this game is really good. I’m very impressed by it. The series has changed a lot from the first 3. Primal was very different and now this one. Just great. Compared to GTA 5, this game is by far better. Just a lot better. Probably the best game I’ve played so far this year. Trying to encourage my friends to get it as well. Highly recommend this game to anyone. After beating it... I still somewhat recommend this game to anyone who likes free roam. You can do things that you can’t do in GTA that don’t cost so much money. But this game has different dynamics than GTA and of course it would seeing how Ubisoft did it. I do, however, feel as though I should warn you about the plot of the game. The more you move forward in it, the more you’ll want to possibly join the cult. Hey, I do too. There’s a point when Faith (she’s the sister of the Father in the game) says she’ll make you right and show you the path. She shows it to you, but still no choice in the matter. I really wanted to join them. Throughout the game you kill the family and each one blames you for not joining, but I really did hahaha. It seemed interesting to me to not have that option. You can kill a lot, hunt, fish, have some animal friends, guns, vehicles, and even love the characters as well, but can’t join the cult. The ending got me though. Not going to ruin it or anything like that, but it made me sad in a lot of ways. I even got a existential crisis over it which is funny to me. In all, it’s a really good game, but it just has moments when you’re sitting there like, “Really?!?!”"
