Dead Space 2
"Although this is a really good game, it is just an improvement on the first Dead Space. The stomp is back but better, movement is less clunky and jump scares are definitely still there. I'd still recommend playing this just for the story arc and the fact that the Dead Space series is it's own entity."

Dead Space 3
"Again, this is more of Dead Space 1&2 but improved on. They've added co-op, I played this single player though, as I believe one of the things that make Dead Space successful is the fact that it is full of jump scares and is really tense at times, co-op just takes away from this experience, a nice addition none the less. The story is continued well, Isaac is a wreck on this one, not surprising considering his past. I would definitely recommend this just to finish the story, plus it's Dead Space and we all love Isaac."

Metro 2033
"I bought this when I saw how Metro Exodus looks. I thought with all the scenery and a fallout like world I'd really enjoy this game, I didn't, the game felt really stretched out and quite mundane. The story is very linear and gameplay average. The one thing this has going for it is unique weapons but even they feel like a chore most of the time."

Frostpunk
"This game, although it's 90% snow, is so good looking. Don't let that fool you though, it's a nasty, unrelenting, ruthless beast. It took me several tries to finally nail the strategy to survive on this. The choices you have to make are sometimes morally crippling and every time you think you're on to a winner something comes and whacks you in the shins as hard as it can. Saying this I can't imagine the replayability is that high, I would recommend picking this up though. It's hard, seems to be quite taxing on the PC but it's so satisfying when it's going well."

God of War
"I really enjoy the God of War series, when I found out this was on the horizon I was ecstatic. I like that they've tried to adapt the combat with this installment, they've tried to focus on the bond between father and child and tried to really bring Kratos out of his stone hard shell. The game plays well, the story is brilliant, the game looks brilliant. Although they've adapted the combat they didn't really adapt the quick kills, basically, after about an hour of the game you realise you can insta-kill everything by punching them a few times and then hitting the quick kill button. This is satisfying at first, but when you've seen it 12,638 times it becomes a bit repetitive. I know the next installmets of this game will be absolutely fantastic, this is the way the God of War games are, they build you up and blow you away every single time. Being the first of the "new" games I'm assuming this one is the foundation for the epicness that will happen."

Resident Evil 4: Mobile Edition
"I played the Resident Evil 4 HD remaster even this shows it's age. The controls are clunky, the game is fairly hideous, the camera is a pain in the buttocks at times but by the time I finished it I loved it. For it's age it's so well done, the deaths are disgusting at times, in a good way but it's such a good continuation of the games."

"After Playing multiple Assassin's Creed Games in the past I was already deflated when I started this game. I was just playing it for the sake of the story, also still feeling betrayed by AC3. "Wow, they've added sailing, how is this gonna change the repetition in the game". I didn't do the side missions, but I did love this game by the end of it, it's nice scenery and the story wasn't too bad either. They've changed some combat mechanics so it's not as easy to take 47 people on but I did really enjoy this."

"I grew up on this game, I loved it. I downloaded this game about 6 months ago on my phone but I barely played it, it was good but I don't really get time to play on my phone. Anyway, I found it the other day on Steam. It's fantastic, it really is. It's done very well, it gives you a lot of gems to buy packs of cards so you don't get to lost in the pay to win world. This brings so much nostalgia back for me, they've halved the card mat and the life points to make this faster paced, it's worked, you can squish a game in to a few minutes and ranked can be so satisfying."

Dynasty Warriors 9
"If you're a long time fan of this series DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT pick this up. I know DW games have always been a bit repetitive, but I've always loved the way the battles unfold, the feeling of destroying armies by yourself, the s**t that hits your pants when LuBu turns up (not necessarily loving that bit). This one is just so plain though, they've opted for an open world system instead of the level based system and it sucks it just doesn't work. You spend days travelling just to get in a fight with about 25 people, the scenery is so bland too. This is not a game for the classic fan, I'm not sure if it's a game for a newcomer either to be honest."

"Most people will have played a Resident Evil in their time, if you haven't I highly recommend you start from this. The game is so well re-mastered that you can almost forget that it was originally released in 1996. Control's are kind of "clunky" and some of the things feel dated, but it did release originally in '96. If you need to catch up on the Resi games this is the way to do it."

Batman: The Telltale Series - Episode 1: Realm of Shadows
"I've played a few Telltale games by now and I do enjoy them but I often find them a bit slow and a bit of a chore to play, this on the other hand was different. Yes, you play has Bruce Wayne and every now and then it's a bit slow, but it's not so bad because you know it's not pointless interactions, you know your choices are doing something, you're not sure what, but something later on down the line. Now, when you're Batman, the game evolves, the fight scenes are so good you really feel like every attack connects there's always something incredible in every episode. I really enjoyed this game and I'd recommend picking it up."

"This game was really good, I would've given this a 5 star but for me personally, some of the scene's really slowed the story down. The way they've re-imagined the character's is so good. They haven't changed them too much but enough that they make it fascinating to interact with them. I would definitely recommend checking this out easily as good as the first."

"Personally, I get bored of beat 'em up's very quick and this one is no different, But! I can say this one lasted a little longer than most others. The story mode I thought was done very well for a fighting game, it's visually pleasing and the combat is done so well, it genuinely feels like you're making contact. The X-ray attacks and fatalities are worth playing it for alone, there's loads of unlockables, all in all a brilliant continuation of the classic MK series."

"I thoroughly enjoyed this throughout the entire campaign. The story is done well, the game it's self is so beautiful, the only flaw is the style it's done in, it has Batman like combat but with swords, it's satisfying and brutal but can get old quick, luckily enough the game is quite short so it's not too much. I would definitely recommend picking this up if you can get it cheap."

"This was not at all what I expected. I'd read it was a horror game with RPG elements, it was more like a detective game with a dark theme, Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the game. The first few chapters of this game had me questioning whether I'd enjoy the game, the lip sync is shameful but the overall story was intruiging and I can't say I was bored at any point."

"Spectacular looking game, it's just a shame the story and gameplay don't really hold the same appeal as the cosmetics of this game. For a game that's almost 12 years old it looks insane some good ideas in this game too at the time of it's release they were probably ground breaking too. Alas, the game is nothing more than mediocre in 2018. Still impressive considering it's age though."

"I've played this before, thought it'd be worth playing it again on stream. I played the remastered version and yes this game still is incredible. The wrench alone is worth playing it for, but I genuinely forgot how dark this game is in places, from the gruesome deaths to the aftermath's you come accross. It's very refreshing to play a game that doesn't seem too bothered about upsetting people. If you want a decent FPS with a decent story line this is your game, unique gameplay and a bit of an RPG element to enhancing your character this is a real breath of fresh air."

"Doom is a slaughterfest, it's fun, it's nasty and it's very good looking. If you're a fan of the Doom series this will go down very well, if you're a newcomer it's a brilliant introduction to the series. My only issues with this game is because it is just a slaughterfest it gets very repetitive quite quick, also, the sound track is a killer but there's just not enough!"

"It may be worth noting I'm not the most avid beat 'em up player. However, I quite enjoyed playing this, I've also played most of the other games in the series. I feel like this one is on par with MKX minus the X-ray attacks. The combat is just as good as we've come to expect from the NetherRealm Brawler's and fatalities are as gruesome as ever. Each character seems to start with two fatalities, I'm not sure if they have more as I haven't really stuck with it because of reasons stated above. I would definitely recommend picking this up if you do like fighting games, if you're a casual player you might just make it through the story but I wouldn't pay full price."

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
"I've had this in my to do list since god was a lad. I got round to playing this the other day, the campaign's probably around 6 or 7 hours, a lot of people wouldn't find this acceptable but when they'd find out just how repetitive and boring the puzzles are they may change their mind. The combat is good but also very repetitive, luckily it's not that often that any action happens in the game so you don't really have a chance to get bored of it. The story however is the back bone of the game, it's different, it's immersive, it has you panicking when you know there's nothing to panic about. It also (apparently) has a system where if you die too many times you have to restart the game, for a game that "understands" mental health that doesn't seem the most pleasant thing for me to comprehend. I enjoyed the story in this game but the gameplay didn't really do the game any favours, I'd recommend picking it up if you want a heavy based story game and don't mind doing the same things for a few hours."

"This didn't really release to the same amount of praise as it's Rocksteady counterparts, mainly due to the change in voice actors and granted it's a bit buggy, nothing game breaking, in fact it's quite satisfying punching people in to walls. I digress... Personally I think this game is well worth the play, the combat feels just as smooth as the other Arkham games, the story is good and it doesn't really force the sandbox gameplay on you which I also like. Definitely worth picking up."

"This is my first play of a game from Dennaton Games, it's simple but it's a lot of fun. It's combat is very basic but effective. It's a pixel art style game but this does not subtract from the game infact it works really well, it's short however it's one of the better stories I've played recently, surprisingly. It's soundtrack though... It's just incredible. I'd definitely pick this up if you're looking for a game that's straight to the point and fun. It's relatively short though, fair warning!"
